Michael Scher, Owner
The owner of All Year Heating and Cooling since 1986, Michael graduated from UT Architecture School in 1974. As an architect, he developed an understanding of all the systems involved in buildings and the interrelationship of these systems. This background has been essential for designing and implementing heating/cooling systems in many unusual residences and other complex buildings that owners and architects have entrusted to All Year. Michael continues to attend conferences and study the latest information available on alternative energy, building science, sustainable products and construction, indoor air quality, geothermal heating/cooling systems, insulation systems and more of the ever-changing body of information relevant to providing a healthy and affordable indoor environment. Michael and his wife Marilyn, a cooking instructor, have two sons. When not working, they enjoy the live music scene in Austin.
Susan Derrington, Comfort Specialist

Susan has been a Comfort Specialist in residential sales for All Year since 2001. She came with a background in teaching at ACC and enjoys using this experience when helping her customers understand the unique comfort needs in their homes. Susan will take the time necessary to analyze each situation thoroughly so she can help every customer make the best decision for their comfort investment. She is very active as an approved contractor for Austin Energy's Home Performance with Energy Star Program. Susan has 2 children and enjoys the seemingly endless projects she can work on in her fixer upper home.
David Kendall, Comfort Specialist

David moved from Tennessee to Austin in 1989 and currently resides in Travis Heights. Drawing from his background in Sales and Construction, he is able to offer customers a professional and knowledgeable experience ensuring all of their home’s needs are met and exceeded. He is able to analyze a home’s heating and cooling requirements, energy efficiency, and air quality issues. Giving you an honest, straightforward assessment and offering his professional advice to help you make the right decision. David is also active as a qualified contractor with Austin Energy’s Residential Rebate and Loan Program, and can guide you through the process of gaining access to these helpful programs.
